A glimpse of what I do...
As your birth doula, once we have completed our contract, I will send you a welcome email with resources, what to expect of my contracted services, a reading list, a hospital packing list, and much more. I will be on call to answer your questions and I also have a great library of books you can borrow from. As we approach the end of your pregnancy we will formulate your birth goals and discuss all stages of labor. We will complete a comfort measures training at one of your prenatal appointments and discuss any fears you may have. I am an emotional and physical support person who will bring you evidence base resources to discuss with your provider. I will remain by your side through your labor + birthing journey and will be available to support you when transition from hospital to home.

Postpartum
As your postpartum doula, we will focus on setting you up for success! You will be provided a postpartum template that we will go over and use to make sure everyone in the home is on the same page. I will complete light housekeeping, light cooking, and caring for the new parents + baby. Sometimes that looks like a hot shower and a nap or a cup of tea while I fold laundry and talk about your day. It looks different for each family but I am there to make things easy on you. I like to think of it as a mother or sister doing all the things you’d like but without the hosting portion. I don’t care if your dishes are dirty, that’s why I am there!

Every labor, birth, and postpartum need is unique so please ask about customized packaging. I also offer virtual support if you are unable to have an additional birth partner in your labor and delivery room!
